Hell Neighbour

I recently downloaded Hello Neighbour on the Xbox store using a digital download I purchased from Smyths Toy Store.

The game is completely worthless, it keep crashing and freezing. Clearly Microsoft must know the game doesn't work because the internet is full of the same complaints about this game. How can they get away with selling a game that doesn't work. Is thee a
fix for the game to download? Also, there is no option for a refund. How can you not get a refund for a game that doesn't work or a credit to get a different game. Has anybody else had a similar experience? What are my options?

Next time buy it in the xbox store.

You can get a refund trough support then.

Now you'll have to contact the local retailer you've bought it from and he will say thay the code has been used so he can't refund you...

Since you bought it not from xbox you will have to contact the store you bought it from.

If this is not a problem with the game please turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds. Try again. This clears cache so it may fix some things.

Also, you can reinstall the game by first uninstalling it in My Games and Apps > Games > Push START (3 lines button) on your game > Uninstall.

To reinstall it go to My Games and Apps > Ready to install (for digital games) > push A on your game and install.

- Also, you can try reformatting keeping games and apps as this fixes this problem sometime: Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps". (requires account redownload)

Since your game was purchased from a local toy store, you would need to speak to them for any sort of refund.

 

You might need to re-download it. I have been playing the game with no issues. Also, you can check out the publisher web site.

Issue - Game crashing to dashboard.
Attention: This solution will delete entire save and you will need to restart

• Temporary Fix​
  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select My games and apps.
  2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
  3. In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
  4. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
  5. Choose Delete everywhere

 

The game works perfectly for us. My kids play it quite regularly.

 

Im not suprised...i expected this type of response ..the store told me they could refund digital downloads..why are microsoft selling allowing people to download when it doesnt work

 

How do you re-instal a digital download?

Thanks for putting me in the bermuda triangle that is miscrosoft help...around and around i go until hey presto!..20 mins later im back where i started....im sure you rely on mugs like mr just giving up..so you continue to rip people off and provide the
worst customer support on the planet...sure who cares..losing one customer wont harm you will it...

 

To redownload it go to My Games and apps > Push START (3 lines button) on it and "uninstall". And then go back to My Games and Apps > Ready to Install > Find your game and push A and download again.
