    Heavy Leaking of private information by default settings from Microsoft


    I would like to bring the attention of Microsoft to heavy personal data leak, which is a result of their approach towards Xbox-Windows merge.

    Every person, who have Microsoft account under their real names like "John Smith", will have their name displayed for everyone to see, when they first merge their Microsoft account with Xbox.

    Many people don't even notice it until others bring their attention to this fact. It is total absurd, that vital private information, instead of being protected by default, are initially wide displayed for everyone to see, and only possible to be changed by searching deep in the settings.

    It can be dangerous especially with correlation with Xbox games like Sea of Thieves, when a competitive nature of game brings a lot of toxicity out of fellow players.

    I would like to ask the Community to help in persuading Microsoft team to change the approach of their Data Protection policy .

    Games With Gold WILL be coming to the Xbox One and will be coming pretty soon, according to Microsoft. Some leaked information points to April being the beginning of Games for Gold on the Xbox One, but as always with leaks take that with a grain of salt.

    Party Chat doesn't default to private (which is really an "invite only" setting). The default is that anyone on your FL, or friends of friends, can jump in. You have to manually set parties to invite only.
