Heat set repair?

If your headset is out of warranty Microsoft doesn't offer you a repair or replacement for the headset

If the console is saying that it's over-heated then it is over-heated. You should probably send it in for repair.

iv not heard of this on the xboxs (mine gets pretty warm at the best of times but hasnt shut down). that said iv had it on pc where the heatsink is not attached properly so does not transfer the heat out to the fans (all seems cold but the chip is over heating)
so on this i would suggest sending for console repair

The overheat issue can occur for different reasons including the failure of the fan or the presence of a heat source, such as a radiator, heat register, stove, or amplifier. Very hot heat sources can damage the console.

Hey there Wolfman! Generally speaking, you want to feel heat coming out of the console. If you don't, it means the heat is staying inside, which is not what we want. That said, if you feel your console is overheating, please try contacting our repair center
