    For the Hearing Impaired

    Hello,

I was hoping to get some insight on the possibility of hearing aide compatible devices like headphones, and etc., so people with a hearing impairment can comfortably communicate with other players and even hear the game without having to wake the neighbors.

I am also wondering if the new S controller's Bluetooth can connect to a ComPilot for hearing aides, which is designed for listening to music and connecting to other Bluetooth devices for sound and communication.

Help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello johnmorrisoNZL,

Welcome to Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We know how important it is for you to connect hearing aids to play games for better quality of gaming. If the device has a way to output sound to your hearing aids then yes, this would be possible. However, this is not possible to Xbox Console if you were to connect your hearing aids via Bluetooth. Fortunately, there is a remote play that allows you to connect console to phone, tablet, or PC by then you may connect your Bluetooth hearing aids on the device you will use for gaming. To set up remote play, you may check the steps provided here: How to set up remote play | Xbox Support.

If you would love to connect a Bluetooth hearing aids to console, Microsoft listens to any feedback and suggestion you have in mind. Please do send a feedback through the channels available: Provide feedback to Team Xbox and Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app.

why cant I use good headsets on my X Box?

I also wear a hearing aid and for Christmas was gifted pair of Turltle beach Atlas Elite headset. I found that with this I don't need to wear my hearing aid as the soundis completelyclear and I can definitely turn up the volume and it allowsme to hear
the game really crisp and clear, keep in mind I only wear one, but it might be something to consider.

Can I use a Xbox one sterio headset with a DVI converter?

For compatible headsets, the stereo sparer will enable you to hear game sounds, chat sounds and talk to other gamers if your headset has a compatible mic.

Players with open mics... who don't actually say anything

    Hey Soldier,

    .

My step father was stone deaf even with his hearing aids. We were able to get around this using a pair of cheap headphones hooked up to a digital recorder. It seemed, having the audio right next to his ears rather than it being filtered through that extra
space did the trick. (He knew there was sound but it was garbled even with the hearing aid amplification but when he used the headset it became clear.)

    .

You could try a headset and see if that helps. At the very least removing some of the ambient noise or the "dirty" noise could help with clarity etc.
