    Headsets will not work/No Voice Chat


    So as of this week, I am not able to use party chat or even game chat. I have 2 headsets and 2 controllers, I have tried different combinations to determine if the headset or the controller is at fault. Long story short, It is neither the headset or controller.
    I am currently only able to talk and listen when I use the kinect to chat, which is very frustrating and annoying. I have an open NAT so please don't blame my network, as that is not the issue. I have updated both controllers as instructed and problems still
    exist. I am seriously going to put this xbox 1 up for sale and just buy myself a ps4 if this isn't resolved.

    what to do? 2 months voice chat no longer works, does not record voice messages, headset and microphone are in good condition, please help...

    Strange Headset Problems

    After the update, my Stereo Headset Adapter started having voice transmission issues. Receiving works fine, but no longer able to chat.

    Headsets will not work/No Voice Chat

    This issue may happen if your profile and the controller are losing their association.

    If this happens when you are in a party for example, just go to the upper left corner of the main dashboard, click on your profile and choose your profile again. This may sound funny, but had that often by myself and this always fixed it.

    It's a headset for voice chat, but I think this guy is talking about gaming headsets, where both voice chat and game audio come thru.

    The headset definitely works, as I've created a voice note.

    2) Nope. It recognises that I've got a headset in.

    3) This happens. So I've tried to do a voice chat with a another xbox user, on the same network not in a game. We were both in the party/game chat.

    Anyone have an ideas? Headset has audio for party voices, but all in game audio and menu clicks do not work whne the headset is plugged into red controller. Sound works normally with the headset when plugged into black. What would be wrong with the red headset? The hardware seems to clearly work as the party voice chat works.... Very weird that only in game audio does not work. Is there a way to unpair the headset or some other type of reset anyone has heard of?

    Extreme, I know and I explained how it could possibly work better for voice chat against a regular xbox headset.
