Headsets are way to quiet almost like there stuck working at half volume

Hello Benbo, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your headset.

It sounds like your headset has a separate volume and chat mixer. One of the volumes that you've turned all the way up is the mixer and should be to at least the half way point in order to hear both the chat and game.

I had this exact same problem for a bit with one of my headsets and that was the the problem

With details on the volume settings, I find them quite limited to be fair and have to balance my game sound with the chat volume...despite the settings in Devices and accessories mentioned in the guide.

There is also the Headset troubleshooter guide linked from this same page if you scroll down a little. Have you tried another headset also?? some headsets are really quiet I find. I used to have the basic chat set, but found it quiet so upgraded to Turtle
Beach, which has been alot better and louder for me. Am half deaf in one ear also which makes it more difficult for me.

Well, if they are just as quiet on Windows 10, then it is most likely that your friends have your volume lowered on their Party Chats, because the only two thing in common in this case is the headset/microphone, and your friends on the Party chat.

The volume always works when i’m using my headset but when like if the volume isn’t working without it and i use my headset i can hear it through the headset but no the TV. I’ve still be playing gta for a bit now but the only thing that works is the game volume for some reason and all the other volume doesn’t work. Any other suggestions?

Just tried your suggestion and it seemed to be working until halfway through the download. I assume that since i wiped the cache it had to redownload the original update which worked fine considering the first half of the download was almost instant but
still the second part will not download and the download bar has been stuck half way for the last 5 or so minutes.
