headset won’t work!!!!

So all is working fine playing MW. Then out of no where my mic doesnt work. I can hear my friends but they cant hear me. Using the standard xbox headset

i assume its my mic so i buy a new one. Same headset. But it does the same thing! I assume its the controller. I tried a different controller and its the same thing!

i have an aftermarket headset using just the headphone jack and this headset works but its just uncomfortable for me.

my controller needed an update which i did, and still wont work! I tried a hard reset for my xbox still no luck. Im so annoyed and out of ideas....

Yes the controller is fully updated and i have firmly attached the headset but still won’t work.

I have the same issue, my headset was working fine and all of a a sudden stopped, I have tried multiple controllers and multiple headsets and nothing is working, have tried using the same headsets and controllers on other Xboxs and they work fine, have
literally watched every single youtube video on it and nothing, thinking of getting a new xbox

I would diffently go back through your party setting and make sure nothing is muted. It only takes a button press of your in the menu. Maybe you hit it on accident?

I think your controller is link to your headset or try to unplug it then plug it back in

Thanks for your reply but you mightve misunderstood my post. I have the standard xbox headset and my speaker works not the mic. So i purchased a new one.
