headset wont work

I have bought 5 headsets . two have worked then stopped working out of the blue. then he could hear but no one can hear him. I have gone through every test suggested. been on line and watched suggestions. downloaded updates..etc. any ideas

Tried all of that and still nothin and the headset works perfect wit my friends . This is an absolute joke that the xbox wont allow the headset to work

it wont work via bluetooth as the controller does not pass audio vie bluetooth.

wired then it technically should pic the headset up as a usb audio device. i normally use either a turtlebeach 3.5mm headset or my mobile phone headset.

not sure why it wont work over usb though.

Try Setting up a headset adapter and also
Update your controller firmware

Are you using a wired controller or off brand controller? Sounds like its the controller firmware.
