hi ilm fairly new or rusty I brought a xbox one x my son asked me to put headset on which I did BUT I couldn't hear him and he couldn't hear me tried looking in settings for headset settings nothing, and no mic is not muted.ilm a tech phobe so now lost
and cant speak to my son please help

We are having the same issue with our Afterglow AG9 for Xbox One. It was working fine for weeks, now all of a sudden our Xbox wont register our headset. Everything is glowing and working fine as far as the headset goes however it wont assign to an account
or even show up in the accessories settings.

Forgot where, but I saw somewhere that their changing the socket hole for the headsets on the new controller so the Xbox 360 headsets wont work, and you'll need to buy new Xbox One headsets unfortunately.
