Headset won't work with wireless controllers

I have a Turtle Bay 50X wired headset. It doesn't not work with either controller. It did for approximately 2 months, but then it stopped. The company sent me a brand new headset and had the same issues. The headset works with any other device so I'm
confident it isn't the issue. I then bought a brand new controller and it worked for about a week, and it has stopped again. I've tried 3 different headsets with 3 different controllers, all with the same problem. What am I missing? I have done the updates
and tried soft reboot. I did have rechargeable battery packs, and I read that might cause interference, so i put regular rechargeable batteries in the controllers. I am at my wit's end trying to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

The Tritton Warhead is the only fully wireless 360 headset, and this:

why. It is the only headset that "pairs" with the 360.

Anything wireless won't work. The mic on the Tritton Warhead is wireless. The mic won't work.

Have you tried using an adapter for the controller? That has been successful for many.

Does your control have the p2 input or do you use the adapter?

That won't work at all. There's no way for the Mic audio to get to the Xbox. You have to plug the headset into the controller for the mic to work, or use a licensed USB or wireless based peripheral.

Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.
