    Headset won't plug into my Controller

    I got my Xbox One a month or so ago, I have used it sparingly since I bought EA Access. I was playing EA games online and wanted to connect my microphone which had never been used/connected before. The problem is that it does not fit in the controller.
    Is my controller faulty or is the microphone faulty? Both of these items came with my Xbox One package.

    Xbox One Headset Won't Plug In

    My controller and headset I got brand new that came with my Xbox One won't connect. What I mean is that the plug for the headset won't plug in to the controller to physically connect. I tried for about an hour before giving up. So my question is what can
    I do to resolve this?

    It's hard to tell from the video but how much are you pushing the headset jack? You will need to put a little bit of pressure on it to get it in. Also, it's harder to get out than it is to get in.

    Ok, perhaps it is an issue with the headset itself then. Why not see if you can set up an exchange through the repair site

    I did set this up already, i just posted this to see if anyone had similar problems. I am not sure if my controller is faulty or if it is the headset. Basically i dont want to send in the headset and get a new one to find out that it was my controller port

    Xbox one headset STILL not working

    Ah, that might be your problem, plugging the headset in. Also, make sure that you check for updates while the headset is plugged in.

    For me, if I even unplug my headset while in a game then plug it back in really quick, my headset won't work again until I restart my console. Not sure the reason why but it happens that way. Trying turning on your xbox with the headset in the controller
    and see if that helps.

    Having problems with my wireless headset.

    Troubleshooting doesn't help. Headset connects to port one and as soon as I plug in my wired controller, the controller connects to port 2 and they won't sync together.

    Headset or controller problems.

    I have exactly the same problem, working fine through 3.5mm headset jack on controller, next day no sound at all through controller, only through tv. Controllers won't recognise headset plugged in. I have two controller and both the same. Headset ok on other
    devices and worked fine on xbox one s prior. Just randomly stooped recognising headset plugged in.

    Have followed all trouble shooting recommendations and no joy.

    Are non-xbox 360 headphones compatible with xbox 360?

    Not headphones, the controller plug is smaller and used for chat, headphones won't fit. My 360 Turtle beach headset gets its game audio from the TV too.

    When my headset is plugged in when I power on my controller it never comes on. The controller just blinks. I have to plug in the headset after the power is fully on the headset. Then it works fine.
