    Headset won't plug in to controller


    I have two brand new Xbox One controllers and the mono headset that comes with the console won't go into either of them. I tried for about an hour, applying as much force as I could physically to try to get it to slot into the bottom of the controller. I
    know other people have this issue too but no solution from Microsoft.

    Xbox One Headset Won't Plug In

    My controller and headset I got brand new that came with my Xbox One won't connect. What I mean is that the plug for the headset won't plug in to the controller to physically connect. I tried for about an hour before giving up. So my question is what can

    Hello, so im sorry about your problem. Now it sounds like your headset is messed up, so what i would do is contact xbox about this problem and see what they say. Now you need to stop forcing it incase you break your controller. Now to contact xbox, just
    call-1800-4MY-Xbox. Hope this helps!

    First off, I'm in the UK and I believe that number is for the US. Secondly, this is not an uncommon problem from what I've seen, so there's got to be a solution, right?

    Headset or controller problems.

    I have exactly the same problem, working fine through 3.5mm headset jack on controller, next day no sound at all through controller, only through tv. Controllers won't recognise headset plugged in. I have two controller and both the same. Headset ok on other
    devices and worked fine on xbox one s prior. Just randomly stooped recognising headset plugged in.

    Have followed all trouble shooting recommendations and no joy.

    Having problems with my wireless headset.

    Troubleshooting doesn't help. Headset connects to port one and as soon as I plug in my wired controller, the controller connects to port 2 and they won't sync together.

    Ah, that might be your problem, plugging the headset in. Also, make sure that you check for updates while the headset is plugged in.

    For me, if I even unplug my headset while in a game then plug it back in really quick, my headset won't work again until I restart my console. Not sure the reason why but it happens that way. Trying turning on your xbox with the headset in the controller
    and see if that helps.

    Do you have another controller you can try.

    If the wired plug inside the controller is 'shorted' or thinks a wired headset is present it won't allow for the wireless one to take its' spot.

    Plug the controller in to the console, then plug in the headset to the controller. Go to settings and accessoires, update controller it will update to accept the headset for use
