Headset Won't Connect

Hi there,

I really need some help to connect my son's new turtle beach recon 200 headset.

Once plugged in, the headset icon shows up indicating it's attached, then when playing a game like fortnight, you can see the icon that shows up when people are talking, but the volume bars don't show.

I can here his friends talking, but they can't hear him. The mic appears to work, as I can hear myself when wearing the headset. In the setting, the mic is turned on.

Under controller settings in the accessories menu, it shows the headset as being connect and I can adjust all the volume levels. When I select the connect device - headset, it take me to another screen. This just says firmware update, which I can;t select
and then under assigned, it say it's not assigned to anyone, yet you can't click on it to assign it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Do you mean it is up to date with Version 4.8.1923.0 and it reports no update found or is it greyed out and you can't select it at all?

I'm not extremely familiar with these so looked up a little info. Apparently on the left ear cup there should be a switch to switch it to xbox mode. Maybe that switch isn't set right?

Usually when I have a similar problem to yours, I would have to unplug and replug into the controller. Have you tried that to see if that would resolve the issue?

Thanks - it shows the last update, but you can't select that box, nor the one below it, which say the headset is not assigned. Seems odd?
