Headset will work in party chat won't work on game chat on Overwatch

When I tried to talk in game?match on Overwatch it acts like my headset is not connected. But When I go into a party it works just fine. I have updated my controller, tried a different controller, hard reset my xbox, use a different headset, and restarting
my controller. I don't know what to do.

It sounds like it's possible it could be related to the game itself. IM not too familiar with Overwatch to be honest but you could check game related forums to see if anyone else is having a similar issue.

Most xbox games online use a system thats functions weird! If your in a party chat them switch to in-game, i may not work! Try not being in a party. Reset the game and then load into a game. It should work but joining a party will resume the glitch. Its
hard to explain but i hope my reply helps! Have a good day!

It may not be the headset. See if it works in normal game chat. I've had all kind of problems with party chat. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I'm having these same issues right now. Game chat works fine but as soon as I get into any party, it won't let me switch to "Party Chat". It's like it's stuck in Game Chat & won't allow a switch over to Party Chat.
