    I got a few options here with 2 types of headsets on my XBOX Series X and the low volume problems.

    1 the Razer Kaira Pro wireless headset for the XBOX X and S 2 PDP controller with Hyperx Cloud Alpha Pro 3 Default Controllers with the Hyperx Cloud Alpha Pro

    The Razer is Fully Suported by Microsoft and cost 169 euro in the Microsoft Shop. There is a Razer hub to fix the settings like you wish to have them, but in default mode the total volume of this head set is round 40%, the volume in the UI points to a Software dependent setting, so with the Kaira Pro your unable to set the volume in the UI. In the Razer App you can put all volume to the max, and then you have a really good sound, well for a few minutes and then distortion starts. Head set of and on.. and after 5 minutes same crap.

    With the PDP controller comes another hub.. The volume in the UI is again a software dependent thing, and you unable to set any kind of headset volume. Once the app is started in default the volume is again round 40% max volume what's set by the Firmware in my opinion. Anyway,you can set the volume in this app to max, and that gives you another wonderfull headset experience, with good sound, but when you leave the app.. you got that UI set audio of 40% back again.

    With the default controller and the wired headset it's really a waste.. If you point your headset volume to the max, it provides you 40% of the max DB I measured. What means, if you have DTS or Dolby bought from the store its kind a destroyed by Microsofts default Headset volume.

    Why is this going on, I read the issues all over the Internet for the XBOX One, X and S

    I believe low TV volume is intentional. A web search indicates that you may have more volume control if using an Xbox headset.

    Is this your headset volume so low or through TV speakers?

    Interference, distance from the audio source, or low battery levels may cause fluctuations in volume using a headset. Ensure a stable Bluetooth connection, wired connection and keep your headphones within the recommended range, & charged to full for optimal volume performance

    You can adjust your headset settings on the Audio & music screen: Press Xbox home - Select the Audio & music icon at the bottom of the guide. Headset volume: This can also be adjusted by rotating the dial on the outside of the earcup of your headset.

    Check your TV settings there could be a 'Game mode' setting when playing which naturally turns down your volume. The quick and easy steps usually provide a solution! Best of luck.

    For some reason the voices during movies or cut scenes are extremely low. If I adjust my volume they don't change and everything else goes up or down. I tried changing my audio settings and nothing works. If I put it on mono then everything works as it should but the overall volume is still low.
    Are you using a wireless headset plugged into the controller? I find that, without an audio adapater, the general volume level is pretty poor, whether it be through my expesnive headset or my cheap in-ear headphones

    And also with headsets like the Turtle Beach, you can independently adjust in-game voice and sound volumes, ie, you can turn the game sounds volume very low or even off while turning up the in-game chat/voice volume.
