  1. Headset then Controller Failure, Microsoft fix this

This isn't just me, my controller, my console or a specific headset.

Whilst using a headset if you wish to change the batteries, or the batteries are removed for any other reason, your headset most of the time will refuse to have any sort of audio through. At this moment you are *** as to fix it is to do a full reset, however
if you decide to play on and use speakers etc you are fine, with no game chat available, however if you then proceed to try and fix the issue by turning controller off (even if this is by again taking the batteries out) the controller then refuses to provide
    any input, despite being on.

As previously stated not just me or any specific product. Just Microsoft continuing their new cheap controller mentality.

    :)

Yes I also expierience this Issue, but not so much often as before...

I have the Original XBOX 1 Stereo Headset, and I can tell you it is not a failure of the Headset..

It must be a failure of Transmission of the Audio Signal...

So it is not a harware failure of the HEadset itself,,

It is a failure of the Adapter or the Transmission from xbox... or the Powermanagement of Controller...

    It^s a known Issue

  3. Headset Half Works

Unplug the headset then power off your controller. Plug your headset back in then power the controller back on. Hopefully this will fix the problem. I have the same thing happen to me every so often and this method had worked every time for me.

Are you re-assigning your profile back to the controller after switching batteries?

I know it sounds weird but now most customers don't have a Kinect so when swapping out batteries, the system may unassign your Gamertag from the controller which will cause what you describe.

  5. Sorry for late reply, but yes i do use a kinect 90% of the time, with it even happening when using, but no this doesn't fix that problem, just tried it when forced to change batteries during a long session and nope, no improvement of difference, and then
due to a dead zone appearing on another xbone controller, having two mostly working controllers allowed me to test trying to swap different controllers over whilst one still worked without the sound, did nothing. Had a lovely chat with customer support who
advised that i should purchase another controller, despite this happening to me and others through various controllers, although as stated not all the time, clearly customer support got mixed with sales today.

make sure the batteries are firmly in place. I know it sound weird but some times you have to push on them to shore them up a bit. If it is a plug and play then detach then reattach it firmly in to the controller.

this happens to me all the time. i can't switch the controllers account because the controller doesn't seem to actually be connected/linked to the xbox anymore. i tried pushing the link button (pushing, slamming, mashing, you name it, i've done it) but to
    no avail.
