    We are having a problem with the headset not working when plugged into either controller on xbox one (purchased approx 13 months ago).

    The headset had been working fine for months, then stopped yesterday.

    We bought a new headset which did not work either.

    We tried both headsets in other devices and they both worked fine.

    Both controllers are working with or without the headsets plugged in. I have looked through the settings on the xbox to see if there is anything obvious that would indicate what the problem might be, but cannot tell.

    The only person who uses the xbox is my ten year old son, and it is highly unlikely he would have manually altered anything on the settings.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Hi,

    If the headset working on another devices but not on your Xbox (even with new controller) , its meaning you made a bad settings into your audio's settings… or privacy settings.. or voice ban issue...

    So what's the issue ? cause not working its a general word that's tell nothing ;) I mean , do you have sound from the speaker ? Are you able to talk with the mic ? So many questions… Waiting your answer to try to fix your issue.

    Thanks for your reply, sounds like you're right. I'll try get the controller replaced under warranty, if only covered for 3 months there may just be 1 day left cos I purchased it on 5th August.

    It sounds like your audio jack plug is playing up. Sadly I've had a couple go and I believe controllers are only covered for 3 months.
