Headset sound not working.

I’ve set them all to stereo uncompressed, sound still isn’t coming through. What else can I even do? And how come my mic works but sound isn’t.

Thanks for the quick response, I have a HyperX heaset, it can connect to the 3.5mm port but I also have a mixamp which I can connect it to. When I try to turn the volume up on the mix amp there is usually a beep noise but in this case there isn’t.

What type of headset do you have and does it connect to the 3.5 mm audio jack? Some third party headsets have difficulties working with that connection on the Xbox One controller without the adapter.

On your Audio settings found under the System tab next to Settings, make sure the chat mixer slider is not moved all the way to the chat side so that game chat is not at 0%. That could be why you can't hear sound.

Also go ahead and hard reset and power cycle your Xbox. Follow this article for guidance:

It could be possible, but would you mind explaining what audio output settings you change and what did you change it to? Maybe the audio settings you change is optimizing audio output to your TV only.

Also check the Display and Sound settings and then go to audio output. Look over those settings and make sure it's default at stereo uncompressed.

What type of mixamp do you have? Did it come with your headset or did you buy it separate?

I would try seeing if you can update your controller with your headset plugged into the mixamp and see if the mixamp can update as well with the same software as the controller. You can update wireless if connected to Xbox Live or with a USB from the Kinect
and Devices section from your Settings. Select your controller and select the More options setting and select the firmware section and then select continue.

Did you also hard reset and power cycle your Xbox?
