    hello I have got astro a40 wired headset I have question I switch toslink cable between Xbox one and Xbox 360 for 7.1 surround sound I was wondering

    if was run toslink cable to TV instead would I still 7.1 running through TV or is best keep switching between 2 consoles thanks for any advice

    HeadSet setup question

    I just purchaced a headset from turtle beach ( XL1) I was told at the store that these were plug and play. OK I bring them home and find out their not so plug and play. My Xbox is connected to my TV with an HDMI cable and is to far away from
    my TV to use the TV audio out with the supplied wires. So what I was wondering is, I'm not using the the Xbox's supplied audio video dongle could I use it just to plug the headsets jacks into? Would it interfear with the HDMI video ?

    HeadSet setup question

    Using the RCA from the headset and plugging them into the tv will give you the sound and i believe you just plug the power into the USB. There will be no problems, it i plug and play.

    Hello, the use of the Xbox's audio video dongle should not have interfere with the HDMI video on your Xbox if you are wanting to use it for the audio on your XL1's.

    Are you using a Microsoft brand controller or third party controller. My headphones will not work with my Afterglow controller but will work with my Microsoft controller.
