    Headset says its connected no matter what


    I was in a party when I realized that my mic wasn't allowing me to talk to anyone, but I could hear everyone just fine. After a few hard resets, unplugging the mic, and going from game chat to party chat, it still says that I have a headset plugged in,
    even when my controller, mic, and kinect are disconnected. I can hear everyone just fine, but they can't hear me

    Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

    I bought a stereo headset adapter and use it in conjunction with my studio beats. Everything was working fine one day, next day it doesn't work at all. No sound no matter what I do. I know the headset work as I've tried it with my laptop.

    I have tried:

    Connecting different headsets.

    Resetting Xbox, disconnecting and reconnecting adapter and headset.

    Updating controller via usb, with and without battery pack in. With and without headset adapter connected. With 2 different headsets connected.

    Nothing seems to be working.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Same problem. Yes it does behave different when connected to TV. I can't get above 480 no matter what channel its on.

    There 2 diffrent headsets... dose that matter. n iv been all in the settings n its still not working. sum people say u cant talk to each other on the same tv. sum say we can. wich is right?. Can it be done?

    Hi! Yeah, I understood you bought a new one but sometimes after market headsets for some reason don’t connect well in some controllers, thats why I suggested you try the headset adapter, Its not a new headset its a piece that connects the headset and controller,
    as I had the same problem and thats what fixed mine.

    Sorry if that isn’t helpful, Its just a suggestion because I had the same problem and tried all the same things until I got a headset adapter and it works smoothly now.
