Headset question

Hi, I'm thinking about buying an Xbox one wireless headset. I was wondering though since I play my 360 through my Xbox one would the headset still work? Thanks for any imput

Headset question

Damn, just looked up the Stealth 500x and it looks great.

It's completely wireless. That has to be the first completely wireless headset on the Xbox One from what I can remember. No controller adapters or cables, and a built in rechargeable battery included.

I'll wait for reviews to see how it performs. If it gets great reviews, this might be the first headset purchase for me in years. I've been with X12's and I love it, but I'm tired of the cables.

Completely wireless is what I need.

An Xbox One headset does not work on the 360 as a 360 headset doesn't work on the Xbox One.

Also it's not recommended to play your 360 through the X1 just because of latency issues. So if you're playing fast paced games like shooters it's not that great.

Hi WaterPheonix !

Seeing as how nobody has mentioned it yet, were you following the correct procedure for connecting the wired mic? If you dont follow certain steps when connecting it, it will not work.

Make sure before you plug the mic into the bottom of the controller that the on/off switch on the mic is set to OFF , and then also ensure that the volume scroller is set all the way to OFF aswell, this will be to the left.

Now plug the Mic into your controller, then turn the on/off switch on the mic to ON and turn the volume up to the top.

This is the procedure for connecting a wired headset. As other people suggested you can then test it by sending someone a voice message, listening to what you record and see if it works, discarding the message afterwards. You could also join a party like
they say, and see if the Mic icon appears.

Which headset is it? The latest Bluetooth wirless style*, older XBOX only wireless or wired headset .

If its a wireless one what happens when you press the sync button on the headset/console?

If it's a wired headset it's more than likley faulty and i would return it to the supplier.

*If it's the latest one ensure that it's in the XBOX compatible mode, best way to determine that is by what colour the ring is flashing upon trying to sync (it should be flashing green)

The rumble doesn't why would the headset? When the rumble goes out I plug it in.

Your headset will only be capable of receiving game audio. You will not be able to use it for chat until the adapter is released sometime next year.
