Headset problems, anyone else come across this?

Ok so I have both an official standard headset and headphones.

About 4 weeks ago the the mic on the headset just stops working, no idea why, the sound coming through is fine but mic wont pick up my voice. Then yesterday the exact same thing happens to my headphones!!!

Been in one of those online chats and after a bit of tinkering I was eventually advised to do a full factory reset on my xbox one. Once I done this the adviser closed the chat, WTF. So now I'm not sure what to do and the headset and headphones still don't
work.

Anyone experienced this or have any ideas?

The headset static is back.

Does anyone else using the official X1 headset having the same problems?

Sorry to hear it. If you've tried all that support suggested and the headset still will not work then you can head to the repair page to get them replaced. I'm not sure if there will be a charge or not (they did offer a free headset at console launch last
year) but it's worth a try.

Yeah, but I hate unnecessary trips and didn't know whether anyone else had come across my problem.

Sorry, your having these issues, seems strange, i havent come across anyone else with these problems, maybe a problem with ur HDD or cache? try clearing your cache, hope you get it sorted, the game is ace!

So it turns out my save file got messed up somehow. I tried a different file and it works fine. If anyone else comes across this thread and has the same problem, keep multiple saves! It's saved me twice now.
