Headset Power-On without Power Console (Suggestion)

Suggestion: Update the headset so long-pressing the power button turns on the console but quick-pressing only turns on the headset.

I love that the MS wireless headset connects to the Series X and bluetooth.

Sometimes I want to use the headset for my PC, or my phone, but I can't do this without powering on the console while turning on the headset. I'm not a huge fan of turning my console on just to turn it off seconds later, so I can use my headset with other devices.

The above suggestion, I believe, would be a simple, easy to use solution to this issue.

PS: There really should be a "Request" or "Suggestion" flair.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

If this doesn't work others have said the headset adapter for the controller eliminates a lot of the headset issues.

I would Suggest you do what Parity is suggesting as this can be the main issue sometimes, If it doesn't work i would suggest the headset adaptor

I would also suggest and Xbox branded headset to ensure compatibility. Others have also said the the headset adapter helps to eliminate headset issues.

If that doesn't help I suggest trying one of the headset adapters. Others have reported that is resolves a number of headset issues. I use one and I have never had an issue with my headsets.

Connect the headset to your console using the USB-C cable, then try powering on again. If it still won’t start, verify that the headset is receiving power from the console (the power light should be flashing orange). If the headset isn’t receiving power, try plugging it into a different console or device. If none of these steps work I would suggest you to request a replacement since we have already tried pretty much everything Scott

Try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the console, then sign in and open up party chat with someone - without at any point plugging the headset
in - and see if you get voice over TV or not.
