  1. Headset plug wont fit with controller

Got the XboxOne little over a month ago. The COD:AW edition. The headset had trouble connecting to the controller. But after a little fitting around with it. It snapped in place. The headset worked fine with the COD:AW controller. Got my self a extra controller,
the headset would not at all connect to it. Like NO WAY!

Then I can see the headset have pressed the plug in the controller upwards. Who designed that plug? Other be dragged out back and... you get the idea.

Now the headset will only connect to the COD:AW controller but it wont work any more. Nothing happens when I press any of the buttons. Why the freak did you not just put in a regular jack-plug. They don't break as easy. Now I got a useless headset laying around.

Will wait for a wireless to come out. Don't even want to buy a new one with wire.

    :)

    weird controller/headset issue

So the headset that came with my XB1 does not fit in my controller. It also doesn't fit in the additional controller I just bought. It fit in a few times...but now no matter what I do or how much force I use, no luck. Talked to support and they shipped me
a new headset...they said theyve never heard of tjat before. Any one else have this problem? The headset doesnt look damaged or defective...but the plug just wont go in all the way so weird. Do you guys think I could have two defective controllers? Maybe a
    bad mold job? Thanks

    Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset

    Hi,

I recently purchased the Xbox One 1TB bundle from Game UK. The bundle came with the newly designed controller and chat headset with a 3.5 jack that plugs directly in to the controller without the need for an adapter. I am impressed with the new headset and
want to purchase one for my son. I have been informed that this new headset is not available to purchase as a stand alone item. The question is: What is the point of releasing a new controller with jack plug but no availability of a headset to fit it?

    Controller Headphone Jack

What happens is i try to put the headset plug into the controller jack and what happens is it can go in to the controllers headphone jack the headset plug just slips out like its to small to fit into it properly even though it fit perfectly before i dont
know if a part inside the controller broke or fell out or something along the lines of that but yeah it just falls out and wont stay in unlese i hold it

    Ridiculous!

^^Yeah, or there will probably be "adapters" made to fit the old headsets to the newer systems.

    [/quote]

The newest Turtle Beach headphones use a double RF (radio frequency) signal for voice chat. They could easily make a new little "plug" or "puck" that plugs into the controller which will fit the new, proprietary plug but, I wonder if they'll use blue tooth
for voice chat instead of RF this gen. If that were the case they wouldn't be able to simply make a new plug that fits the new controller.

    Mic Problems

Many microphones wont work when plugged directly into the controller and require a headset adapter (one of those mute, volume up/down devices that plug into the bottom of your controller).

Are non-xbox 360 headphones compatible with xbox 360?

Not headphones, the controller plug is smaller and used for chat, headphones won't fit. My 360 Turtle beach headset gets its game audio from the TV too.

Is their a wireless microphone (not headphone or ear piece) for Xbox one?

at this time there is not a wireless headset for the xbox one but curtain wireless headsets in general can or well have a plug in jack which would fit most cell phones and xbox controllers. it's a little box that plugs in to the cell phone or controller
which acts like bluetooth connector to the head phones . but very hard to find might have to check retail stores or order on line .
