Headset not working with new xbox one controllor

I bought one of the new controllers with the seperate audio jack and im not getting any sound and the mic doesn't work. Ive been using the Tritton ps4 kaiken headset fine with the stereo adapter for months with no problem. I have played around with
the device settings but no luck. I have used a xbox 360 turtle beach mono headset and that works fine with the 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter. Standard mp3 headphone workx fine but not the headphones that came with my phone.

Have I got a faulty controller or is an update needed

headset's mic plz help

Do you have another headset you can plug in to confirm wether its a headset issue or controllor issue?

Mic problems on my brand new Xbox One

my mic on my xbox one headset is not working ,i a new headset still not working..........come on fix it MS!

Hi,

Well first as you suggest I would update the controller or make sure it is on the latest firmware. Is the new controller is an official xbox one or an OEM ? Can you confirm whether the original xbox chat headset works with both controllers as this is a simple
test of connection. I think I am right in saying that iPhone headsets will NOT work in xbox controllers as they have a slightly different connector (which carries control for music and answer call etc.). Let me know how the above goes.

DUE TO THE ooooo pritty i can see through it xbox one controllor you went for over the helpfull normal one your in trouble... there is no way this will work with a headset.... i dont know if a normal usb wireless headset will even work.... (not heard of
it for xbox one)

Im realy sorry to be bearer of bad news...

maybe somone else knows of a way but i dont...

BUT DONT WORRY ITS NOT IDEAL.... BUT...... not all is lost... if you have a kinect (i know) then you can still chat in party's but not in normal game chat and with the new xbox one kinect it filters out background noices.... unlike the 360 version. IT ROCKS.
used it for month when my plug in headset went BOOM!.

So how are you playing BF4????? Are you using a surge protector??? Brain Damage Is indeed a serious issue......... What about the other 3 headsets/controllors you could be using???? Please keep us updated........
