Headset not working properly

I own a Turtle Beach headset that uses a 3.5 mm headset jack. The issue I have with it is that my voice is not being picked up by headset when talking in Xbox party chat. I have tested the headset with other devices and it works as intended, but for some
reason it does not work with my Xbox controller. I have spoken with someone on the Turtle Beach support team and they said my headset should be working fine. They told me that to get into contact with Xbox support. I have tried power cycling my system and
I have checked for updates, but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas on how to fix?

So it was just the headsets I suppose. The regular headset doesn't work for me but the turtle beach headset works just fine. I'm not sure why it happened, but it's done for now at least.

you can go in Settings >system > Sound & Video and if some Funcionality is off

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to use your headset mic.

Depending on the type of headset you are using, you might see the Audio
option under System in the Xbox Guide.

In this menu, you would see the option to turn on or off you Headset mic, however, this option would not appear if your headset has the capabilities to adjust this setting via an adapter that is usually attached to the cable of your
headset.

If your headset works across other device, then this would indicate that the issues is not with your headset, but with your controller. If you are able to test your headset on another Xbox One controller, then this would provide us
with some additional insight as to what the problem would be.

You mentioned that you have checked for updates, but if you haven't had a chance to

check for updates for your controller, it is something that I would recommend that you do.

If possible, can you verify that your headset works on another Xbox One controller?

There are going to be some brands of headsets that just do not work with the Xbox
