    Headset not working on Xbox one s


    When you use the headset no sound comes out of it (other than when I speak into the microphone) and people I am connected with on line cannot hear me.
    At the top right hand of the home screen (near the time display) there is a small icon which looks like a muted microphone – I don’t know if this is the cause but I am not able to remove this.
    Also, when I go into the device settings there is no option for headphones and it will not allow me to select the option for ‘volume’ in the wireless controller settings.

    I have tried every option I can think of – logging out and back in, hard resets, soft resets, and nothing has had any effect.

    I have seen posts from other x-box users experiencing the same problem but haven't managed to find a solution. If anyone knows how to resolve this I'd love to hear from you! Thanks very much!

    Turtle Beach X12 headset on XBox One

    I found a headset that will work perfectly.
    www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=sr_1_1    . Buy this headset it's not that expensive and it will work for talking with friends and listening to Game sound as well.

    Hi GilgameshRune,

    Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Xbox One and your wireless headset. Can I ask if your headset was working with your Xbox One S before you connected to the Asus monitor or is this all a new setup? I am thinking there may be a compatibility issue
    with the headset.

    Brad mentioned reaching out to the manufacturer, you may want to ask them if the headset you have is compatible with the Xbox One S in wireless mode or if you can only use the headset in wired mode connected via the headphone jack on the controller.
