Headset not working on Xbox but works on other devices

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

If that doesn't work try it on a different controller as the audio port on the controller may have failed.

We cannot get any headsets to work on either controller and headset works fine in other device.

Does the headset work on any other devices? Try and see to establish if it's the headset or controller.

So could it be a controller issue? And not a headset issue? Especially if the headset works on other devices?

I play on an Xbox 1 S console on controller. It seems that the headset do not work with any of my 3 controllers however they do work with other devices such as my phone. However, I am not 100% sure it is the controllers as they work with any other headphones
