Headset not working after switching batteries

    I have 0 clue what is going on but every time I switch batteries my headset does not work. It can't not be found. It only works again when I hard reset and even then that does not even work. Also when I try to assign it to my profile that does not work can
    we please get this bug fixed I got turtle beaches. I've seen other people have this problem and have posted it on other websites please fix this

    Controller Stops Working After Switching Batteries

    If I swap batteries in my controller while using my Xbox One, I have to do a hard reboot of the whole system in order for the controller to function again. It does not matter whether I swap to the rechargeable charge and play battery or whether I use rechargeable
    AA batteries. The light remains lit on the controller but it is non-responsive. I just noticed that it does this after I got a Turtle Beach headset with the adapter. The firmware is updated to the latest on the controller.

    Does anyone else experience this? Is there a fix?

    Plugging in headset makes controller turn off...

    Have you tried switching the batteries? I'm wondering if the controller uses a lot more power when the headset is plugged in.

    I'm having the same problem, on first set up the headset worked fine, now it switches off the controller once connected regardless of battery life

    I prefer wired headsets because it is a real stuff up when you play and all of a sudden your headset batteries dies and one cant just switch the batteries, happened with my one friend in a comp game with his headset.

    I'm having the same issue. My XO Seven headset isn't working.

    I've tried power cycle on the xb1, switched out batteries, the updates on the controller are as up to date.

    Mic works in party chat but not in game on Fortnite. Software has been updated.

    It would seem that if the Xbox is switched on with the headset connected it works fine but if the headset is plugged in after start up the mic doesn’t work in game mode.
