    Headset not playing sound


    My headset is connected on the back of my xbox and for some reason the sound is coming through the tv. My xbox recognizes that my headset is connected but the sound still doesn't go through it. I've tried connecting my headset directly into my controller
    as well with no luck. I've updated my controller to see if that would help but didn't. What else can I do?

    Its an Elite headset and it can connect wired or wirelessly but I keep it connected though the wires

    So I have to unplug my headset to change those options and then when i set them and plug in my headset again it resets it
