Headset Not Playing Game Volume

I have a headset that will play chat volume on skype and party chat fine. The problem is I can't hear game volume. I have tried every possible setting and the new setting in the mic settings on the little snap bar that says "headset chat mixer" is not there.
I thought it was the controller but it is every wireless controller this didn't work. I have hard restarted numerous times and nothing happens. I did have a wired controller that played game volume fine but when I plug it into the wireless, it does't work.
Please help.

Razer Chimaera 5.1 audio problem?

Playing halo.. you can't lower the game volume :/ there's simply no option within the game to lower or higher the volume. sucks. Why would they make this headset this way. DAMNDAMNDAMN

 

Volume Changing

I have a turtle beach wireless headset and letely my volume keeps changing when playing MW3. When a loud explosion happens my game volume goes way down so I have to raise the volume on the headset - then if another loud incident happens like an explosion
the volume goes back up thus almost blowing out my eardrums. I tried a brand new headset and it is still happening. I also have my xbox live preferences setup for sound to play through headset only. Any idea what might be causing this?
