    headset not connecting to controller and tv not going into HD anymore


    3 days ago my xbox was fine and ive turned it on the next day and my headset won't connect with my controller.. (keeps saying it cannot find a mic for these people) and my tv won't go in HD anymore

    im not very tech savvy so I could be an easy fix but ive Brought a new controller and headset and still not picking up and ive done all the youtube stuff and google.

    not sure what the problem is but if anyone has any ideas let me know

    turtle beach X1 how can i install em and will i still be able to play in HDMI

    i want to buy an turtle beach x1 headset so i will be able to hear foodsteps.

    then i went on youtube to see what the thing really was and i saw that i had to mess with the cables or something?

    and that i would not be able to use my HDMI cable anymore.

    can't i just put the cables from the headset itself into the controller and still be able to hear foodsteps in in-game chat voices without messing with the cables from the tv so i can still game in HD

    the newer 3.5mm controller

    hi, thinking to buy the new controller. Am i able to plug my iphone headset to the controller directly and hear the audio (game/system) from the headset instead of the TV?

    I am currently using the older version controller, when i plug in the built-in chat headset, the game/system audio does NOT going to the headset and remain from the TV.

    Yes, your controller will not connect without the HD lead connected to the TV.

    The xbox loading screen will not progress without the HD lead connected, so the console never gets to the "connect controller" section.

    The red/blue/green cables only carry (HD-)Video signals. In order to get sound, you need to
    also plug in the red and white plugs from the "other" cable end. Just leave the yellow plug dangling.

    Take the red/white cables of the console's cable, and plug them into the red/white splitter cable of the headset with the green plug at the other end.Plug the splitter cable into the red/white audio plugs of your TV.

    Connect the green plug of the headset into that cable, and let the pink cable disconnected. Connect the Headset to a Xbox USB port for power. Connect the "bent" end of the Xbox headset connection cable of the headset into your Xbox controller, and the "straight"
    end into the Xbox Jack of the headset's control box.

    Your TV speakers turn off when you connect a microphone?

    It might be, that you have set your audio settings to use headphone sound, whenever a headset is connected.

    Go to the settings under Display and Sound, and turn off the option to have the sound output to the headphones.

    Then you should be able to have a microphone connected to the controller, without the sound from the TV going out.

    The main thing with Minecraft Split Screen is that you MUST have a HD TV/Monitor connected by HDMI, HD AV or VGA cable.

    Connect 2 controllers to the 360 and load the game

    Click PLAY GAME

    You should now be prompted to confirm that two players are going to be playing, it'll load and play in Split Screen.
