Headset no longer receives sound from xbox one.

The issue is I can't hear game sound via headset - no matter which one I use. I've tried the one received with the xbox set and also the other one from Sennheiser.

The question is if this is possible to hear game sounds via my pad with regular headset or I need an xbox one dedicated as you're suggesting above?

The chat mixer slider is not necessarily an amplifier but rather what it does is it adjusts the audio feed your headset receives all the way from the source game engine and the audio feed from Xbox Live for the multiplayer party chat. So you can visualize
it like the center of the slider is valued at 0 or neutral, and each end of the spectrum is 100% for each respective audio feed. The information your headset receives with this information is then transmitted as audible sound and the quality of that sound
is based on the specs of your headset. For example, a surround sound headset with Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos for headphones will be able to mix the sounds better so that one is not louder than the other drowning out that quality compared to a standard stereo
headset. Most of the high quality surround sound headsets also connect via HDMI or optical input through an adapter/receiver directly into the Xbox and not into the controller so the sound is clearer due to the better sound engineering in HDMI and optical
cables compared to 3.5mm audio through the controller.

Xbox can work to improve sound mixing in general through the hardware in the console to possibly include finer tweaking but most of that is left to the sound engineers for headsets. Sound always improves with the newer consoles so if you have any ideas for

Hi, basically when I use my xbox one headset i can transmit sound but i receive sound from other headsets through my speakers and i do not know how to get it to come through my headset this is a really big problem for me because it ruins any voice communications
in the game

I have been using my Astro A50's for about a year now and love them! I have my Xbox 360 ported through my Xbox One and I have my Astro receiver in port to my One and the out port going to my surround sound receiver and was having no issues using my headset
wireless. I recently purchased the headset adapter for the Xbox One controller and did the update for the controller so that I could start using my A50's to chat on the One. Since doing this my A50 will no longer work wireless. The only way to get sound even
just to watch a movie on either console I have to be plugged into the Xbox One controller and it has to be on. I have even tried connecting the Asrto receiver to the 360 and get no sound at all. I have also been getting the controller shut off thing. Anyone
know how to fix these issues?!!
