  1. Headset Microphone Issues since Xbox UI update was pushed

I'm just curious if anyone else has experience any mic cut out or just completely stop working. Noticed it the other day thought I was due a new headset. Then last night I was on for around 1hr 30 with my buddies and my mic stopped working, everything else worked (system sounds, game sounds etc) went and bought a cheap pair of buds like I've always done when moneys short for headsets still nothing even went and bought some new turtle beaches brand new and not working. Any help?

TLDR Mic issues started on Friday with the UI update for insiders.cut out completely and tried 2 different controllers and a brand new headset

Xbox series x Mic monitoring not working Help I tried everything

Hello, David my name is oskayra I am an independent advisor and player like you I hope I can help solve your problem today

I understand your frustration with your Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 headset not having microphone monitoring working on your Xbox Series X. It's important to troubleshoot further before assuming hardware failure.

Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the microphone monitoring issue on your Xbox Series X:

    Update your Xbox and headset:

Xbox: Ensure your Xbox Series X is running the latest software update. Go to Settings > System > Updates and downloads.
Headset: Download and install the latest firmware update for your Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 headset through the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app.

    Double-check your settings:

    Xbox:
Go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
Select your Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 headset.
Ensure "Microphone" is enabled and adjust the "Microphone monitoring" level to your preferred setting.
    Headset:
Check the headset's audio controls for any mute buttons or volume adjustments that might be affecting the microphone.

    Test your microphone:

Use the built-in microphone test feature on your Xbox to ensure your microphone is working properly. Go to Settings > Kinect & devices > Devices & accessories. Select your headset and choose "Test microphone."

    Disconnect and reconnect your headset:

Turn off your Xbox Series X and completely unplug your headset.
Wait for a minute, then plug your headset back in and turn on your Xbox.

Try a different controller or headset:

If possible, try using a different controller or headset to see if the microphone monitoring issue persists. This can help you isolate the problem to your headset or controller.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.

I can hear things through my headset but can’t talk.

Hello Gabe R, My name is Khaji I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today

Check the microphone connection: Make sure the microphone cable is properly connected to your Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headset. Sometimes a loose or improperly connected cable can cause problems with the microphone.

Adjust your microphone settings on your Xbox: Go to your Xbox console settings and check your microphone settings. Make sure the microphone is selected as the audio input source in the audio device settings.

Check your privacy settings: Go to your Xbox's privacy settings and make sure voice chat restrictions aren't blocking microphone use.

Update device drivers: Visit the Turtle Beach website to make sure you have the latest version of drivers installed for your headset. Sometimes updates can fix microphone malfunctions.

Check if the microphone is muted: Some headphones have a mute button on the microphone or on the headphones themselves. Make sure the microphone is not muted.

Test on another device: If possible, test your headset on another device (such as a mobile phone or computer) to determine if the issue is specifically related to the Xbox or if it is a general issue with the headset.

Restart your headset and Xbox console: Turn your headset off and on again. Also try restarting your Xbox to see if this fixes the problem.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding! If you need anything else, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Elite Series 2 controller not working with my headset?

    Hey Todd,

So, before I continue, bare in mind that the Series 2 is fairly new and if this is a manufacture issue with the controller itself, they may push an update to fix this issue in the near near future. With that being said, assuming your connection is perfect
and you're in a party and you can hear everything but your microphone itself isn't working, a fix could be to unplug and replug in your microphone from the headset (if that is possible) and then make sure ALL plugs are pushed all the way in, as having it a
LITTLE loose can have this exact issue.

If this doesn't solve the issue contact here -> https://support.xbox.com/en-US/

I hope I helped your issue out.
