    Headset lag from all incoming audio what am I doing wrong?


    My headset is having tons of stuttering from incoming audio and when I test connections it says all good. I just bought a new remote and a new headset thinking they were the problem but the issue still persists what can I do? (This is a non wireless headset) my xbox remote is also up to date and so is my xbox.

    We understand that you are having issue on your incoming audio. As per description, tons of stuttering incoming audio and when you test connection it says all are good. Let us check on this together and sort this out. We will assist you with your concern.

    For us to fully understand and sort out the issue, we need more details about it. Kindly provide additional information base on the following questions.

    1. What platform are you using?
    2. What is the brand of the headset?
    3. Did check compatibility?
    Try to follow these fixes suggestions. If in case, you are on Windows.

    1. Find 'Devices and Printers' and double-click it.
    2. Find your paired headphones. The icon may not look like your headphones, but hopefully you should be able to find it.
    3. Right-click the icon and select 'Properties'.
    4. Select the 'Services' tab at the top.
    5. Under 'Bluetooth Services', if 'Hands-free Telephony' is checked, uncheck it.
    6. Click OK.
    The audio may cut out as it saves the new settings (you may need to adjust your volumes in the Volume Mixer)"

    headset output is selected, but it still plays through tv

    I know what your talking about, but that option is comparing chat audio to game audio, not headset to tv. To clarify, the chat audio is fine and never lags; its the game audio

    Game sound not playing through one controller, voice chat works

    Anyone have an ideas? Headset has audio for party voices, but all in game audio and menu clicks do not work whne the headset is plugged into red controller. Sound works normally with the headset when plugged into black. What would be wrong with the red headset? The hardware seems to clearly work as the party voice chat works.... Very weird that only in game audio does not work. Is there a way to unpair the headset or some other type of reset anyone has heard of?

    Xbox one headset no ingame sound, only "xbox-sound"

    Since you checked what is the headset audio option set to?

    What headset do you have?

    You have no sound at all on the headset or only the sounds of you moving thru the menu?

    I have had instances (not recently) where I had to change my audio option after re-connecting my headset.

    You may want to see what the audio is without the headset attached, then connect it and compare the settings do the change to pickup the headset connection.
