Headset issues

For the past 3 controllers I had, after just a short time, the headset seemed to break. Every time, seemingly randomly, it would stop picking up my voice. The first time, I thought it was the controller, because in testing on Discord, my headset would work fine. It would let me hear and let me speak without a problem, and since I could still hear everything fine through my Xbox, I thought the controller was somehow broken. So I got a new controller. At first, it worked, before randomly, only a couple of weeks later, it happened again. On xbox, no sound I made would go through my mic. So I thought that the mic was messing with the connection inside the controller. So I got a new Xbox mic, and a new controller. For a couple months now, they've both been working fine, until just now, all of a sudden, Xbox won't pick up my voice. It's a completely new controller and headset when I purchased them, and all of a sudden they're having the same problem I had with the past two controllers/headset. I don't know what to do at this point. All controllers have been wireless, and both headsets have been wired. I even checked under Devices/Accessories, and it says that it detects a headset attached.
