Headset issue. Other people voices in party chat not coming through

Ok so this is the main difference between voice preferences for the 360 vs. One.

1. On 360 your given choice where your party/chat voice's come through-headset, speakers or both. IN ADDITION, you can still speak through your headset with any of these options.

2. On One you have 2 choices: 1) you speak through the Kinect, and chat comes through speakers. 2) you speak through your headset and chat comes through head set.

The problem with these options, obviously, is that voice through the Kinect sounds faded and distant for people far away from TV. So you CANNOT speak through your headset AND have headphones (ie, turtle beaches, Bose, Beats, etc.). The only way to achieve
this is to splice the wires on your own... which is a problem. Any 3rd party product is still a few months off market at least.

Sorry but that is not at all related to what I said the issue is. Perhaps i should have been more thorough but i thought it was clear that I was referring to party/game chat, not kinect commands.

The problem is that although I can hear both game and voice chat through my headset, the headset mic will not transmit voice. If the kinect option for 'use kinect for in game chat' is on, other people in the game/party tell me my kinect is acting as the
reciever, if the option is off, nothing will transmit at all.

After a look through the forums it seems there are a number of similar threads so it looks like this is a widespread problem with how kinect or game chat is set up.

I am also having a chat headset issue. I got my Xbox One on April 18th.

I get no sound from the earphone in-game or when I playback a voice message before I send it.

I've gone through all the steps that are suggested by the support and the headset works, thanks to the Skype test. It recorded my voice and played it back through the earphone.

If I start a party, my icon lights up when I talk.

But with the headset plugged in whilst in-game online, none of the other players voices comes from the headphone. If I disconnect the headset, thier voices come through the T.V.

I've got no idea what is going on, so any help from anywhere would be great. Thanx.

I had an issue yesterday but no idea what its down to, all my chat audio went through my TV, although my headset (that came with the xbox) was plugged in and the mic was used for my chat, the voice didn't come through my headset.

The party system, and game lobby system is still very far from perfect, would be nice to know its still being looked into.

I agree, Seems the play "through speakers, headset or both" for party chat and in game voice is missing. at least I couldn't find it. I want to use my mic to chat and hear voice responses through the speakers of the TV. Thats the other setting in those
core areas that I couldn't find.
