Headset hearing problems

First, I`d like to say that what I`ll write down is a feedback to MS about the headset that comes with the Xbox One, not any doubt about it`s functioning. If any of you has something to add to this thread, feel free do to it. Also I`m sorry for any grammar
mistakes, as english isn`t my native language.

The thing is, right now I`m on my second headset, and going for the third.

The first I had after some time using presented a microphone issue. When playing online my friends couldn`t hear what I said, and it was a problem on the wire. I contacted MS suport and asked for the warranty, and they replaced it very quick. The 2nd headset,
which I`m using now, shows some similar problems, but on the listenning. I can`t listen what my friends says, altough they can hear me. This one I took even more care with the wire so it didn`t show any problems, even though it doesn`t seem that it really
matters if you take care or not, eventually it will stop working somehow.

I`d like to say that I`m an xbox user since the 360, since the end of 2009, when I bought my Xbox Elite model, and the headset that came there was great. I used it for years and it never showed any problems, it still work nowadays. In my opinion, the problem
is caused by the flat tire MS uses on the xbox one which makes it very fragile, looking like it`s a disposable piece of hardware that you may use for a short time and will have to replace. I`m not sure if everyone is having this same problems, but I can tell
many of my friends are on their 3rd or 4th headset now, and every now and then they have to replace for a new one, or some just have moved on to another headset using the adapter. Those problems I`ve seen occurring to friends of mine here in Brazil, and also
on USA, so I can`t say it`s a bad quality in a specific region, but it seems to be a low quality headset for everyone.

I don`t know if making the headset with a flat tire on XB1 instead of the round tire on the 360 (which I didn`t use to hear complaints) is due to a lower production cost, butif it is, I don`t think it`s a smart move. MS would reduce the cost making it, but
on the other hand, replacing many headsets as it`s being done makes it more expensive at the end of the line.

This time I`ll have to wait for 2-3 weeks to get my new headset, and it will affect directly my online gameplay experience. I play mostly online, and using kinect isn`t quite a good solution. The sound from TV is too noisy and interfere on the audio quality
when my friends heear what I say, also it`s bad to hear them on the TV, with all the sound incoming from the games, specially playing BF4, with all the war, explosions and stuff going around.

A plausible solution I highly recommend to make the costumers online experience better without issuing those problems, is that MS should improve their headset quality, maybe by going back to the round wire as the 360 used, or by making any change that could
improve it`s durability. That would really help future buyers by not letting them waiting for 3 weeks for a replacement, and also would not need so many replacements which I think in a cost/bennefit analisys, would be better to MS.

Another solution, but that just for whoever had a 360 and a headset for it, is instead of replacing the XB1 headset for another disposable headset, is giving the choice to replace it for the adapter so they could use the 360`s one. I don`t think the adapter
is more expensive to produce, and it certainly would solve the problem, as the costumer wouldn`t need to keep replacing his headset.

I know many other solutions could be thought and worked out, and MS will certainly think about one to improve our experience and not let us waiting from time to time about 3 weeks for a new replacement that probably would need to be replaced again in a near
future.

Like I said, it`s just a feedback. Feel free to add your feedback here too, I know many people surely have experienced this same issue.

Question will this headset work with cod on the new xbox one?am hearing stories that headsets wont work without an adaptor?

For cod ghost you really do need a headset.i tried without for few days kept getting killed.but since buyng headset am hearing and finding other players easily.

 

Hearing players through my tv, but my headset is plugged in.

I'm playing multiplayer and I'm hearing the other players through my tv. I have my headset plugged in but I'm still hearing them. Is it my headset or is there a way I can turn that off.
