Headset game audio cuts in and out when playing

I discover this issue the other night while playing overwatch and for some reason when im playing games or watching things on netflix the audio in the headset cuts in and out and the main issue is i have had headset problems before so i had to buy a new
controller and that is the one im using currently and its fairly new so im assuming that Its not a controller problem but if anyone can help it would be appreciated

I think you should try one time with a USB cable, if the controller is powered from the Xbox directly it should be fine. My headphone's sound was always being cut something like every 5 minutes for a few seconds. Then I played with a USB cable and it was
fine. Right now I'm using an Elite 2 so the battery is built-in and I don't have any problem either.

I havent tried with a usb but i used venom battery packs and sometimes ive noticed it doesnt happen when im using the other pack but currently im using regular batteries and i think the problems still occurs however im talking to friends at the moment
so i cant really test it as they are speaking over audio

I had some problems too and it was coming from the battery of the controller being not powerful enough. Do you have the same problem while using a USB cable with your controller ?

Occasionally I'll loose audio with this game too. I'll finish a match and the audio will just cut out. Very Strange. Some times it even knocks out my whole systems audio thought the stero headset. This has happened when the controller disconnects randomly
while playing game.

I am having the same problem, I have the Astro A50 headset, the audio cuts in and out constantly, the Astros have a base station for charging the headset connected via the USB for power and the optical cable for sound. I notice when the sound cuts out the
lights on my base station go out as if it has lost connection intermediately. When I move the base station for the headset and my router away from my xbox by about a foot or two, the audio stops cutting in and out and works perfectly. Must be some interference
wifi maybe?
