    Headset crackling when in menus but not in game also affects music but only when in the xbox home menu. controller is fairly new and the headset is perfect it is plugged into the xbox and still crackles. Audio also works fine through monitor speakers with no crackle at all

    XO7's volume at max is a little low

    How old are your controller and headset?

    Has this been happening mainly in GTA?

    If you rotate the jack, do you hear crackling/the headset reconnecting?

    If you record a message, especially while you rotate the jack, do you hear the crackling when playing it back?

    Just got the XO seven. I've tried using other headsets with the adapter and it doesn't matter - crackling and popping. Restarting the controller fixes this for a minute or two, but it eventually starts crackling again. VERY frustrating.

    Sorry to see you're having headset trouble. To start things off, which other headsets have you tested and have any of them not given you the crackle you're hearing? Is it possible to test your headset on a friend's console to see if you also run into this
    sound? I managed to give this a try myself and I'm unable to hear any static or crackling.
