    Headset Crackling


    I bought an Xbox One S last year and i have had several problems.

    1. My turtle beach headset crackles whenever it wants. Usually I have to hard reset my Xbox but that doesn't always work.

    2. My xbox doesn't always turn off when i use the Xbox button on the controller to turn it off. It will only blink over and over, forever.

    3. Games crash randomly in the middle of playing them.

    I feel like there is a significant issue with this Xbox. I tried calling to get a repair while I still had it under warranty and was told that it was out of warranty even though it hadn't been a year since I bought it. I feel duped and continue to think
    that either I got a bad Xbox, or there are some issues with the software that are needing updated.

    Before you ask, yes i tried all of the suggestions that Microsoft suggests. Please help. I don't want to feel like I spent a bunch of money on a broken Xbox that brings me frustration instead of joy.

    XO7's volume at max is a little low

    How old are your controller and headset?

    Has this been happening mainly in GTA?

    If you rotate the jack, do you hear crackling/the headset reconnecting?

    If you record a message, especially while you rotate the jack, do you hear the crackling when playing it back?

    Just got the XO seven. I've tried using other headsets with the adapter and it doesn't matter - crackling and popping. Restarting the controller fixes this for a minute or two, but it eventually starts crackling again. VERY frustrating.

    Sorry to see you're having headset trouble. To start things off, which other headsets have you tested and have any of them not given you the crackle you're hearing? Is it possible to test your headset on a friend's console to see if you also run into this
    sound? I managed to give this a try myself and I'm unable to hear any static or crackling.
