    Headset Crackles.


    The other day I was playing on my Xbox one and all of a sudden my headset just starts crackling it was fine then just randomly started. My headset is plugged in a elite series 2 controller without an adpater. I tried the headset in different controller
    and issue still there. When I use the headset on my laptop the issue only occurs when I play games on the laptop. I’m not sure where the issue is.

    How old are your controller and headset?

    Has this been happening mainly in GTA?

    If you rotate the jack, do you hear crackling/the headset reconnecting?

    If you record a message, especially while you rotate the jack, do you hear the crackling when playing it back?

    Just got the XO seven. I've tried using other headsets with the adapter and it doesn't matter - crackling and popping. Restarting the controller fixes this for a minute or two, but it eventually starts crackling again. VERY frustrating.

    Sorry to see you're having headset trouble. To start things off, which other headsets have you tested and have any of them not given you the crackle you're hearing? Is it possible to test your headset on a friend's console to see if you also run into this
    sound? I managed to give this a try myself and I'm unable to hear any static or crackling.
