Headset/Controller/Kinect Issue?

So I have the Xbox one wired headset that came with the console. Just recently my headset stopped transmitting my voice which was pretty odd so I looked up troubleshooting things and nothing really helped. Today I got bored and wanted to try and fix
my headset so I end up just turning the controller upside down and it would suddenly let me talk. This stopped working after a little bit too but I keep finding new odd positions that will let me talk for a couple minutes and then die out. Upon playing around
with my controller further I've also discovered that it say my headset is constantly plugged in even though it isn't. I don't have kinect either so I'm not really sure why the green dot would still be there I was thinking maybe I *** up some kinect settings
before I got rid of it somehow. Has this happened to anyone else?

So my chat headset that came with my new Xbox One (Cod AW bundle) will literally not fit in the controller

Other than not aligning the prongs up, there are no issues.

Controller keeps registering a headset.

I'm having a problem with my wireless controller as it keeps registering a wired headset. I have not plugged in the headset in over four months and now after I connected it the speaker icon still appears next to my gamertag in the party chat menu with no
headset or Kinect plugged in. I can't use my Kinect to voice chat anymore since it still reads a headset. If I use a different controller the icon disappears and I can now chat with my Kinect if it is connected.



Anyway to fix this aside from using a different controller?

 

I had a similar issue and made a thread about it no too long ago. This happened to me last night and I was holding my controller at weird angles so I could talk but that wouldn't last for more than a minute. Bought a new headset, no luck. Bought a new controller,
tested both old and new mics, no luck. Called Microsoft and they said they'd replace the mic for me as long as I ship them the old mic and pay the shipping fee. The support tech said it was the mic, but I find it absurd that I'd get 2 faulty mics in a row.
This isn't my first time having X1 issues too. Like bruh ...

 

Gonna bump this to try and find some type of answer to this ridiculous problem

 

If you can hear people through your mic but they aren't hearing you, it's normally because the controller with the mic plugged in doesn't know which profile is using it.

Try one of these two suggestions:

• Position yourself so kinect can see your face and the controller in your hands.
  
• After signing in, go to the home screen and select your little profile icon on the top left next to notifications. Then select Choose this person on your profile.

Hey sniffles x! Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried that as well. I bought a third mic to see if that worked and it did. Dunno what happened but I'm still gonna send in the original broken one to Microsoft in case this happens again. I appreciate your
