Headset connection issues

Hi,

I am having issues connecting Turtle Beach Recon headphones with the xbox one controllers.

I have been through the help topics, ensured firmware is updated on both controllers, I have checked the headphones with phone and laptop and it works well with them, I have been through the settings and tried the settings.

When I plug the headphones into the controller 3.5mm jack point I can hear a crackle, ie know there is some connection, but this does not register on the box, (microphone with line through still remains on display).

Both controllers are Xbox one controllers, one that came with the package and the other bought separately at the same time.

Is the headset wired or wireless? If the headset is wired, it could be an issue with the cable connecting the headset to the controller.

Is the headset compatible withe Xbox One? Some headsets work with PC but not with Xbox One.

O have the same problem but with steelseries headphones. I have had an xbox for the past 6 years. It just stopped connecting to my controller.

the only settings for the controllers is under devices and this only allows me to set up the buttons, doesn't give any options for headphones, unless I am missing something?

Have you gone to the controller settings in Controller. If you assign it, then it could be recognized.
