Headset Chat Won't Work. Tried Everything. Please Help.

Hello Forum,

I'm having and issue with my Xbox One headset, I'm currently using the in box head set for the original Xbox one controller. When I play games (party chat or in game chat) I can hear other talking, but others can not hear me. I have tried a static IP, I
opened all needed ports (80, 53, 88, 500, 3074, 4500, 3544) and still no luck. I have factory reset my xbox, reset my router, switched from Wifi to Ethernet hard line and stil, no luck. I also purchased a new headset and controller just to give it a try but
to no avail. My last option is to send my xbox in for repairs. I really don't want to. If you have any tips or tricks I might be able to try, please respond with them. I have talked to xbox support over the phone and via internet chat. Anything will help.

Issue time: 3 months (Same issue before and after latest update) All controller updates have been installed.

Can't get mic working

I've tried everything to get my mic to work. I can hear people but I can't be heard.

Been sent hear by the Xbox live chat team. I've tried every trick in the book, even got myself a new controller and headset but still won't work.

Can anyone help??

 

Device issue

I have no idea what is going on with my mic. I have tried everything and no matter what the Xbox won't pick up my voice, and i can hear everything just fine. My mic works fine on my computer and even when i put in a different headset it doesn't work. I tried
buying a new Xbox mic adapter today and it still will not work. I have two Xbox controllers and it won't work on either of them. This has been a problem for days now and i have tried almost everything. Someone please help me with this.

Sorry to hear about the party chat issues. Just to check, have you checked under your Network Settings to see what your NAT type is showing as? If anything other than opening is showing that may be causing the trouble you're having with party chat.

It may be also worth opening up the Skype app and giving calling the "Skype Test Call" contact. If you can't hear yourself this may be a hardware issue. Keep us in the loop with what's going on
