  1. Headset: can't hear my own voice ?

i've tried 3 head sets so far and have toggled the chat mixer setting in all directions and cant hear my own voice. my headsets always worked with my 360. i now have the Turtle Beach XO ONE headset that advertises on the packaging " hear your own voice"
no more yelling. made exclusively for XBOX ONE. it doesnt work. it don't think its the headset. i think its the console. the settings? i don't know.

so i bought the microsoft chat pad controller adapter too replace the bass boosting chat adapter that came with the headset. everything works great, but still can't hear my own voice through the headset.

can someone please share with me how they achieve this? what am i doing wrong on the xbox one that i have intuitively been doing right for 7 years on previous consoles. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thank you

    :)

Unable to listen to voice messages sent from Xbox 360 on my Xbox One

I have found out what's the problem.

As soon as I attach a headset to my controller, I can't hear any voice comm at all.

I have even tried recording my own voice message (without sending it) and as long as a headset is attached to my controller, I can't hear anything.

When I unplug the headset I can listen to my own recording as well as my voice messages.

And it doesn't matter which typer of headset I have attached, have tried with several different and the result is the same.

Any clue what might be the problem?

  3. Can't hear my own voice messages

hi. I've been encountering problems with my voice messages. When I go to check them to make sure they are good enough to send, I can't hear them at all. Nothing whatsoever. I also have this problem with party chat. I can't hear them but they can hear me.
My communication settings are set to Everyone. I've reset my console three times, changed my headset and even tried resetting my controller

    Nothing works

Can't hear my own voice messages

After you record your message and choose the option to play it, is there just a flat line there? Or is here a little graphic indicating something has been recorded?

If the line is flat, then that means its not recording anything.

If there is a graphic there indicating that something has been recorded, then check your headphone settings

With your headset plugged into the bottom of your controller

    - Hit the Xbox Button on your controller and instead of choosing settings, choose Audio

    - Make sure the Headset Mic is set to On and headset volume and mic monitoring is turned up

    - Check the headset itself just to make sure there's no mute enabled on the headset

    headphones

You can actually control how much of your own voice you hear in your headset. Access your headset settings, Select Mic Monitoring, it's usually set to Medium, but you can adjust this to Low to reduce the amount of your own voice you hear, or to High to hear your voice more clearly. Turning mic monitoring Off eliminates your mic input from your headset audio.

    Questions about headsets.

Yeah I have the X4's and don't notice being able to hear my own voice until I use a mate's headset round at his.
