Headset Audio Goes out in game library?

This is gonna sound weird and I can’t find an issue for this exact thing but I got an series X about a month ago and since ive had it, when ever I go to my game library if something is downloading or even just press the xbox button in the controller to bring up the guide my audio just completely goes out. I have to constantly unplug and plug my wireless receiver back in for the sound to come back through but usually as soon as i open my guide or game library it goes out. This of course is only annoying when I’m downloading something but if I want to check the progress on a game i have to do what i said above constantly and thats just tiresome. I’m pretty sure its even happened while playing a game while somethings downloading and havent even opened the guide or library yet. Any way to fix this? I thought it was just my headset but my brother has the same one but more updated version and it happens to either headset plugged in. Maybe its just the Rig 800 model and brand we have and its not console breaking, just an annoying bug. When im in xbox parties it even shows my mic working still i just cant hear anything.

    :)

Headset Audio Goes out in game library?

Hello there @OXxXAquaXxXO, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I want you not to worry about the situation because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Do YOU play with chat through speakers?
I don't understand what you mean Danger.. How do you like your set up then?
I believe he's speaking from the point of view of people who use the headset mic that comes with the console. They only send/receive chat audio.
Regular game audio goes to the speakers in the room. In that sort of setup, out of the box the Xbox One's chat audio goes to the TV speakers since there's no stand-alone monaural headset included.

My afterglow lvl 1 headset can't hear game sounds

Do these come with a base or just a audio plug that goes into the controller?

The headsets with the bases accept audio from the console either via HDMI or Toslink.

Some of the controller plugs are an amp that do both Game Audio and Chat.

I think the headset you got is chat only.

How to play game audio through headset?

When you plug a headset into a controller, the game audio and any chat you do is automatically goes through the headset speakers. Check the audio settings on the guide to make sure they are not low. press the Xbox button on the controller, move all the
way to cog icon, and select the audio option, from there you should be able to see the volume and mixer options for the headset.

XBOX ONE X PARTY CHAT SOUNDS TINNY ON HEADSET AND SPEAKER SETTING

    Hey Walking Spedd,

Thank you for reaching out. We understand you have been experiencing some differences in audio levels between headset and audio versus headset. Under the System tab of your guide menu, you should have the "Audio" setting. Selecting it will give you 3 different
sliders which allow you to manage your overall headset volume, headset chat mixer, and mic monitoring. Find your sweet spot and test it out. Let us know how it goes! :D
