    Having the same problem here... Installed a Turtle Beach Wireless headset that has a charging base that plugs into the Xbox One usb port.

    While the tv is playing games or streaming anything else with sound. The sound is muted for 5 seconds about every 5 minutes, which is then followed by a "Headset Assigned" popup, then the sound is restored.

    This keeps happening over and over and over and over. They only way to stop the repeating popups and sound muting, is to unplug the charging base from the Xbox One usb port altogether, which of course also kills the wireless connection to the headset.

    Hi there,

    I moved your comment and created a new thread for you so we can assist you here and not on an older thread.

    It seems like the console is losing the wireless connection to your headset briefly and then re-connecting automatically causing the notification to pop up. Possibly something to do with the USB port or even the power supply.

    Is the charging base also the wireless receiver or does it connect directly to the Xbox?

    Go ahead and do a
    hard reset and power cycle    . Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
    turn on the Xbox.

    Hey there Pyxis!

    Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this peculiar issue.

    That does totally sound annoying.

    If I were in the situation I would probably try a soft reset of my new console, see if that does the trick.

    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted reset and keep my games and apps.

    When you turn your Xbox on, do you get the "Headset assigned" notification popping up, even if the headset itself is turned off?

    Check settings. Volume turned up on xBox and headset? Is headset being assigned to your account?

    Try connecting headset to controller first, and then powering on the controller. Ensure the controller is assigned to your profile
