Headset and controller always break

please can someone help me. I have spent a lot of money in the last year buying new controllers and headsets for my Xbox one but they always break. They're all Xbox one products except my most recent headset which was turtle beach. I've tried ones with the
adapters and the headphone jacks.

When I say they break I mean they're fine for a few days/weeks and then they start disconnecting, I can't hear people or they can't hear me I have to unplug and reconnect several times before it disconnects again. Sometimes my chatpad works and other times it
doesn't.

I usually play in a party but sometimes in game chat and it's always the same. Not a day goes by now without it being faulty.

Controller and accessories are fully up to date.

Please it's driving me mad someone tell me what I am doing wrong I seriously don't get it.

Has Anyone Heard Anything Back

The headset could've broken. I've had the same issue before and it turns out it was an issue with my controller and it caused the headset to break with it. Have you tried changing the controller you're using?

 

My headset has no sound.

check your entire headset wire for any breaks or wires showing, as stated before it will not matter what usb port you plug the controller into. also check the ear piece on your headset as sometimes they can become temperamental and break (i have had this
happen to me on several very expensive ones!) check your sisters controller with your headset aswell and vise versa your controller with her head set. hope this also helps
