Headset adaptor issues??????

SInce the latest update my adaptor and turtle beach xo4 won't work no sound no light anyone had this problem.My headset worked great till the update come out.

Had the headset for 1 month

Headset adaptor is making noise

So just today the headset adaptor makes noises if the wire connecting the headset to the adaptor is touched its unbearable please help

Update: Gaming audio will come via the Headset Audio Adaptor source
www.turtlebeach.com/.../494 making Dolby Digital optical headsets redundant. If you want game/chat audio mix for the Xbox One you have to buy a headset bundled with a audio adaptor or wait until the adaptor is released by Microsoft.

Check your audio settings. Sometimes when updates come out they reset back to default. You could also try restarting your system my sound goes out every now and then and that works for now.

update the controller? sometimes the preview updates knock them off and reset all to default

Are you using a headset adaptor of any sort? If so try removing that. Had similar issues and found that the headset adaptor was the cause of all of them.

So, I also had this issue with a separate pair of Tritton headphones (AX360s) and thought the issue was a faulty adaptor. Well, I exchanged for a replacement adaptor today and still had the same issue.

My setup was that I needed all audio, including chat audio, to be output via the SP/DIF but with the MIC in going through the headset adaptor. Chat audio would cut out from the SP/DIF as soon as I plugged my MIC in but people could hear me once I did that.
So I reckon this is a software issue where the adaptor incorrectly thinks I've plugged in a headset that should get chat audio from the headset adaptor direct (i.e. like the official xbox stereo headset).

Took both adaptors back in the end for a refund.

Yes the stereo headset adaptor wire will work. It also states in the description you need the stereo headset adaptor by Microsoft the one for 17.85 as well. The wire and adaptor are both required to get your headset working. The cable you listed In your
reply back to me and the 17. 85 xbox stereo headset adaptor are both required. The wire plugs in to the adaptor and the adaptor plugs in the Xbox controller. I have the elite controller with the headphone jack as well and it dosent work right in my testing.
I know it sucks that you have to spend more money then you wanted too but unfortunately the only other way is to buy a new headset made for Xbox one. So buy the wire you stated in your reply post to me and the stereo headset adaptor for 17. 85 and your headset
will work. Your x12s will have some issues with xbox one because they are not designed for the xbox one.
